Dr. Askari was born in Hamid Abad Rafsanjani, Iran and attended Medical School at Semmelweis University in Budapest, Hungary. Dr. Askari completed his internship and residency at the Banner Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona.

Dr. Ali Askari has been in private practice since 1991. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Medicine. He received his undergraduate Bachelor of Science from the University of Nevada-Reno and his M.D. from the World University Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. Dr. Ali Askari completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine, and his Cardiology Fellowship, at St. Luke’s Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
Dr. Ali Askari has many institutional, departmental, and division responsibilities as well as holds prestigious memberships in the Cardiovascular and Thoracic, Cath Lab, and Quality Assurance Committees at Phoenix Memorial Hospital, and the Executive Medical Committee, Cath Lab, Cardiology, and Fellowship committees at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center.
He is an active medical staff member at Phoenix Regional Medical Center, St. Luke’s Hospital, St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center, and Payson Regional Hospital. Dr. Askari is a fellow of the American College of Physicians, and Member of the American College of Cardiology, American Medical Association, American Society of Internal Medicine, and Arizona Medical Association.
He has established clinics in rural Arizona neighborhoods and communities such as South Mountain, Quartzsite, Payson, and Globe.
Serj Nazarian, D.P.M.
Dr. Nazarian, Surgeon, Author and Speaker, is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, and has been in practice in the Verde Valley, Sedona and Prescott since 1993.
He has been on medical staff at Verde Valley Medical Center in Cottonwood since 1993 and has served on the Medical Executive Committee since 2008.
Dr. Nazarian moved to the area after the completion of two years of Podiatric residency at Carl T. Hayden Veterans Administration Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona, where he received extensive training in management of the diseased foot through either conservative or surgical interventions.
Dr. Nazarian is highly trained and interested in the management of the diabetic foot in order to prevent and reduce amputation. He advocates integrating multi-medical specialty approaches to treat and manage diabetics and peripheral vascular diseased patients.
Amy Schlaifer, M.D.

Dr. Amy Schlaifer is a urologic surgeon with advanced surgical skills. Dr. Schlaifer grew up in Arizona and graduated from Prescott High School. She earned her Bachelors of Science with a minor in Spanish at Northern Arizona University where she graduated summa cum laude. She received her medical degree at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson. During medical school, she participated in a rural health program as well as student government. After graduating she was awarded a urology residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center.
Her residency at Loma Linda included two years of general surgery training and four years of urologic surgical training. Her training encompassed not only a wide array of male and female procedures, but also minimally invasive surgeries, cryotherapy of the prostate, and advanced low dose radiation techniques for stone treatment.
Dr. Schlaifer is dedicated to providing excellent patient care and open communication with her patients and families. Patient education and personalized healthcare along with a commitment to surgical excellence are high priorities for Dr. Schlaifer. In her spare time, Dr. Schlaifer enjoys traveling and backpacking with her family as well as participating in recreational sports such as softball. Dr Bardia Sinaei came to Arizona in 2004 and graduated magna cum laude in Biology from Arizona State University. He then attended Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health in Mesa, Arizona to receive his DMD degree. He practiced in the state of Oregon for the past few years and he recently moved back to Arizona. Dr. Sinaei provides general and cosmetic dentistry.
Joseph Machuzak, DO
Dr. Joseph Machuzak graduated Cum Laude in 1995 with a Bachelor of Sciences in Biology from Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, where he enjoyed his role as punter for the college’s football team, the Colonels. He then continued with his medical education with a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine in 2000 from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Machuzak is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and American Osteopathic Association. He is also a member of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology and board certified through the American Osteopathic Board of Dermatology.

Hemant K. Pandey completed his neurology training at West Virginia University Hospital, Morgantown, WV and graduated as the Chief Resident. He went on to complete a Fellowship in Electrophysiology encompassing Electromyography (EMG) and Electroencephalography (EEG) at University of Texas Health Science Center-MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX.
He is board certified in Neurology along with sub-specialty board certification in Sleep Medicine, Vascular Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology. Dr. Pandey is a member of the American Academy of Neurology.
He served as the Stroke Director of the Stroke Program at Chandler Regional Medical Center.
Dr Pandey has been the “Top Doc physician” for the last two years and has been featured in Phoenix Magazine.
Having trained in Morgantown, WV and practiced in Baytown, TX, he understands his role as a physician and a member in a very close-knit community. He looks forward to being a part of the value system in Prescott.
