Dr. Ali Askari has been in private practice since 1991. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Medicine. He received his undergraduate Bachelor of Science from the University of Nevada-Reno and his M.D. from the World University Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. Dr. Ali Askari completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine, and his Cardiology Fellowship, at St. Luke’s Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
Dr. Ali Askari has many institutional, departmental, and division responsibilities as well as holds prestigious memberships in the Cardiovascular and Thoracic, Cath Lab, and Quality Assurance Committees at Phoenix Memorial Hospital, and the Executive Medical Committee, Cath Lab, Cardiology, and Fellowship committees at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center.
He is an active medical staff member at Phoenix Regional Medical Center, St. Luke’s Hospital, St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center, and Payson Regional Hospital. Dr. Askari is a fellow of the American College of Physicians, and Member of the American College of Cardiology, American Medical Association, American Society of Internal Medicine, and Arizona Medical Association.

Maddie Assar, M.D.

With fellowship training in breast imaging who had all her training locally in Arizona, mostly at St Joseph’s Hospital and medical center and also Maricopa County medical center. She has worked in this field for 15 years and always been passionate about women’s health and helped many of them in diagnosis of breast cancer in early stage. With her experience in breast imaging and knowing the difficulties in diagnosis of breast cancer in dense breasts, decided to offer the most advanced technique in breast screening, 3D breast ultrasound SOFIA, to women who need another type of screening beside mammograms. This technique is fast, painless and provides excellent resolution to detect small size breast lesions. She hopes this new innovation in breast imaging help many women to achieve the best care possible especially those with dense breasts and family history of breast cancer.
Serj Nazarian, D.P.M.
Dr. Nazarian, Surgeon, Author and Speaker, is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, and has been in practice in the Verde Valley, Sedona and Prescott since 1993.
He has been on medical staff at Verde Valley Medical Center in Cottonwood since 1993 and has served on the Medical Executive Committee since 2008.
Dr. Nazarian moved to the area after the completion of two years of Podiatric residency at Carl T. Hayden Veterans Administration Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. He received extensive training in management of the diseased foot through either conservative or surgical interventions.
Dr. Nazarian is highly trained and interested in the management of the diabetic foot in order to prevent and reduce amputation. He advocates integrating multi-medical specialty approaches to treat and manage diabetics and peripheral vascular diseased patients.
